POINT CLEAR, Ala.—Bayside Academy took a five-stroke golf win over Spanish Fort at Lakewood Country Club in Point Clear Thursday.
The defending 3A state champion Admirals combined for a 316 team total while the 5A Toros, led by medalist Padraic Sim’s 76, finished with a 321 on the 18-hole, par 72 Dogwood course.
William Buhl of Bayside was one stroke back at 77 to lead the Admirals, Jacob Dyas of Bayside was third (78), while the Admirals John Solberg and Spanish Fort’s Nick Williamson each shot 80 to tie for fourth place. Tristan Ellis of Bayside and Brendan Winters of Spanish Fort each fired an 81.
