A Daviston woman was killed after her vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree, according to the Alabama Department of Public Safety
Troopers reported that the car was driven by Linda Faye Parrish, 51, who was pronounced dead the Sunday morning at 9:50 a.m. from injuries from the crash.
The accident occurred Saturday at 6:35 a.m. on Ala. Hwy. 22, one mile west of Daviston when the 1995 Pontiac Sunfire she was driving left the roadway, careening into a tree.
Police said seat belts were not being used during the time of the crash.
No further information is available at this time as the incident is still under investigation.
